The Honda CB750 Mad Max 1 Bike displayed here at Antique Motorcycles featured in Mad Max 1 released on the 12th of April 1979.
Our own Johnny Gee from the Naked Racer Moto Co got a call from a chap who wanted to sell his Honda CB750, John agreed to meet the fellow at his house in a Bayside Suburb, upon arriving John noticed the motorcycle was not in any kind of original condition and had many modifications and after market parts, so John said he was not interested because of these reasons but upon leaving the fellow mentioned that he had bought the motorcycle brand new and had always taken great care of the bike and had all the original parts plus boxes of new old stock parts that he collected over the 20 odd years and that he had fond memories of riding the motorcycle in Mad Max 1. John’s ears pricked up and had no hesitation in buying the motorcycle immediately and it has been housed at Antique Motorcycles ever since.
It has been to Mad Max Movie Reunions and for many years was the only genuine MAD Max 1 vehicle there.
As mentioned earlier the bike has several modifications from original including Star Mag Wheels, a custom twin disc front end, flat bars, a bikini Fairing, a Triumph Trident Oil Cooler, Jerex Electronic Ignition, Kerker 4 into 1 exhaust and S&W Rear Shocks.
These are the most obvious mods, there are also some minor internal engine mods.
